The City of Jackson City Council will conduct a Public Hearing upon the following matters:

The City of Jackson City Council will conduct a Public Hearing upon the following matter: A Zoning Map Amendment to rezone a 0.45-acre tax parcel identified as 808 Macon Avenue, having a Parcel Identification Number (PIN) of J0260-010-000 and a 2.11-acre tax parcel identified as 832 Macon, having a PIN of J0260-11-A00 comprising 2.565 acres. The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room at City Hall located at 134 South Oak Street, Jackson, Georgia 30233. The hearing is being held to decide whether the property should be rezoned from the current R-20 Single Family Residential District to a C-2 Arterial/Collector Corridor Commercial District. The purpose of the rezoning is to allow commercial use of the property. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with disabilities needing special accommodations to participate in these meetings should call Jackson City Hall at 770-775-7535 no later than Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Persons interested in examining the rezoning application and a report by the Jackson Zoning Administrator may view these documents in advance of the hearing at Jackson City Hall, 134 South Oak Street, Jackson, Georgia 30233.
