Mayor Pippin Visits Daughtry Third Graders
Mayor Kay Pippin recently visited with the third grade classes at Daughtry Elementary School.  The third graders had just completed a unit on local government and the students were eager to learn more about the City of Jackson.  Mayor Pippin discussed the functions of city government, the role of the Mayor, and how the students could be good citizens including helping the City be clean and beautiful.  “I don’t know what was more impressive to me, the energized and engaged students who were so well prepared by their teachers, or the clean, shining and welcoming environment of the Daughtry Elementary School,” said Mayor Pippin, “we have so much to be proud of in our Butts County Schools!”
